E-Markets Releases NetOrderSM Input Management System v 2.0
AMES, Iowa - September 19, 2002 - E-Markets announces the release of version 2.0 of its NetOrder order and inventory management application. The NetOrder application enables agricultural input manufacturers and distributors to increase efficiencies in the ordering and purchasing process.
"The NetOrder system enables users to reduce the uncertainty of the traditional ordering process with a real-time order confirmation," states Rusty Harder, Co-Founder and Vice President Client Solutions with E-Markets, Inc. "Ag Retailers using the application no longer have to wait two weeks or more to know if the customer's order is confirmed."
Current ordering systems benefiting from the system upgrades include the CROPLAN Seed Genetics SOAR 21 system and the newly launched Mycogen Seeds MLink system.
"With point of sale information capturing capabilities at the farmer level, many of the traditional order fulfillment issues are prevented," states Harder. "Users realize greater customer satisfaction and decrease their cost of doing business which today are two of the most challenging issues facing input suppliers."
E-Markets applications enable information sharing across the agrifood value chain and streamline back office processes resulting in significant returns for its customers. The company is a pioneer in developing Internet-enabled applications for the agricultural industry, having introduced the first online grain production contracting system in 1997 and the first Internet-based input ordering system in 1998. Several thousand grain elevators, ag retail centers, and processors throughout the United States are using e-Markets tools. More than $1 billion in transactions have been completed using the suite of solutions powered by E-Markets®.
