E-Markets Licenses AscendentTM Software from AGRIS Corporation

AMES, Iowa - November 13, 2002 -E-Markets, Inc. announced today the licensing agreement of AscendentTM software from AGRIS Corporation of Roswell, GA. Ascendent is currently being used by over 30 customers across the United States representing input retailers, flour mills, grain elevators, and seed companies. E-Markets will provide future support, maintenance, development, and enhancement of the Ascendent software.

"The Ascendent customers will have complete order integration into our NetOrder customers such as CROPLAN Genetics and Mycogen Seeds. We feel that the integration of the back office software and web services is critical to create a single entry supply chain communication for the ag retailers."

This is the second business system to join the E-Markets family in the past 2 months. E-Markets recently acquired AgSoft of Salinas CA.
